We are seeking views on our proposals for new equality and diversity Conduct and Practising rules. Once finalised, these will form part of the revised Code of Conduct for the Bar to be published next year.
Code of Conduct
At its meeting on 18 November 2010, the Board agreed to amendments to the Complaints Rules, which appear at Annexe J of the Code; amendments to the Fitness to Practise Rules in Annexe O and changes to the Interim Suspension Rules at Annexe N.
TrainingThe Bar Council will run its annual course aimed at those returning to practice following a career break, and those managing career breaks within their chambers. This year’s seminar will be held in autumn 2011.
