For every testing instruction received from family law and social work professionals, AlphaBiolabs enters the customer’s name into its bi-monthly Giving Back draw to ‘win’ a £500 donation for their chosen charity.
Alex Swindells, solicitor in the care department at Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers in Manchester, was randomly selected in the company’s latest draw and nominated Endometriosis Awareness North to receive the donation.
The charity works to increase awareness of the condition and to reduce the significant delays many women face when seeking a diagnosis. It also provides resources and assistance to those living with endometriosis, works with medical professionals, and campaigns for better menstrual health education and earlier intervention.
Alex said: 'Endometriosis affects so many women, often for many years before they receive a diagnosis. The work that Endometriosis Awareness North is doing to change that is invaluable.
'It’s a cause we’re actively supporting at Pearson Solicitors, and I’m delighted to provide a further contribution via AlphaBiolabs’ Giving Back initiative.'
Anita Sharma, Founder of Endometriosis Awareness North, said: 'We are grateful to Alex and AlphaBiolabs for thinking of us. Endometriosis affects one in 10 women, yet it still takes an average of 10 years to diagnose – years of pain, being dismissed, and of suffering in silence. Donations like this help us continue standing up for those women and pushing for the change they deserve.'
Rachel Davenport, Director at AlphaBiolabs, said: 'Endometriosis Awareness North makes a real difference to women across the North living with endometriosis. We’re proud to play our part in their mission with our latest Giving Back donation.'
The next Giving Back winner will be announced in July.
