The former Lord Chief Justice, Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, will chair a Welsh government-appointed Commission on Justice in Wales. It will examine how a ‘distinctive justice system which is truly representative of Welsh needs’, and that ‘improves people’s access to justice, reduces crime and promotes rehabilitation’, could be established.
