Human trafficking policy

The CPS has drafted a public policy statement on how it handles human trafficking crimes.

It explains what a human trafficking crime is, what prosecutors do when such a case is referred to them, and the CPS role in helping victims and witnesses who are assisting criminal proceedings. The draft statement is now out for consultation, and can be viewed on the CPS website at www.cps.gov.uk. Responses must be received by 31 October 2010.
