The Bar Yacht Club have achieved their best result for years in the 2010 Manches Cup.
The Club entered three yachts in this year’s Cup which was held on 14 to 16 May. Members of the Club (pictured) were divided between “X-to-Sea”, an X332 skippered by David Hunt QC, “Merlin”, a quarter-tonner skippered by James Wathey, and “Equator”, a Contessa 32 skippered by Simon Porter. X-To-Sea came second in Class 2. Equator came third, meaning that the Club had two of the top three in a field of 30-odd boats.
