The Bar Standards Board (BSB) is currently looking to recruit members to its Board and Committees.
If you have experience and knowledge of a wide variety of areas of relevance to the law, regulatory matters and service users plus an
awareness of diversity issues for consumers and the profession and you could be just the person.
We are particularly looking to recruit members who have the skills and experience that would enable them to become the Chairman of
the Complaints Committee as well as candidates with strong knowledge of IT, Finance, Audit or Governance.
Closing date: 8 September 2010
Interviews: 28 and 29 October 2010
The Board’s committees are an integral part of how the Board works. The Committees call for a variety of skills and interests. The Bar Standards Board is seeking applications for barrister members for the Standards, Qualifications, Quality Assurance and Complaints Committees, including those with the skills and attributes to become a Barrister Vice-Chair of the Complaints Committee We also require lay members for the Standards, Qualifications, Quality Assurance and Complaints committees. The Qualifications committee requires in particular a lay person with experience of teaching on the Qualifying Law Degree or Graduate Diploma in Law
