As the Working Group looks forward to the Final of this year’s Bar National Mock Trial Competition, to be held at the Old Bailey on Saturday 24 March, preparations are already underway for the 2012-13 cycle. The Competition relies on the generous support of the Bar, offering in return the opportunity to encourage more young people to engage with the legal system in a positive way, and perhaps even consider a career at the Bar themselves.

The following voluntary roles are available:
  • Regional co-ordinators: Be the Working Group’s eyes and ears in your region, helping to support mentors, match them with schools and liaise with venues.
  • School mentors: Providing teams with advice on legal process, this is your chance to bring the legal system to life and inspire competitors to become a barrister.
  • Case writers: Exercise your creativity by drafting a case to be acted out during the competition.
