Pro bono services soar

The number of people seeking free legal advice rose by 55% in the past year, figures released by LawWorks during National Pro Bono Week showed. The charity reported that 95% of its clinics had seen an increase in demand for advice. The growth is attributed to the government cuts to legal aid. The charity said that nearly 65% of clinic clients came from those in households with annual incomes of below £16,200.
