Practical Workshops on how barristers can increase their international criminal practice

At the end of 2010 the International Committee, along with the Criminal Bar Association and the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks, organised a practical workshop focussing on how barristers and chambers can increase their international practices.

The panel of speakers, which was chaired by Peter Lodder QC, included junior and senior practitioners and practice managers who gave practical tips on how to capitalise on the networking opportunities available at international conferences and how to tap into various international markets. If you were not able to attend this event please note that a recording of the lecture can be downloaded from the Criminal Bar Association website at http://www.criminalbar.com/127/ .

Due to the popularity of the events the International Committee is organising two more workshops of this nature, one of which will take place in Manchester in March, and the other of which will take place in London in June. The exact dates, locations and programmes for the workshops will be announced on the International Pages of the Bar Council websites http://www.barcouncil.org.uk/aboutthebarcouncil/international/Forthcomin....

Any queries regarding these events should be directed to International Projects Officer, Sarah Richardson SRichardson@BarCouncil.org.uk.
