The seminar took place in Manchester on 9 March at Deans Court Chambers and was chaired by Peter Lodder QC. The audience of 60 local barristers and clerks heard from three barristers and a practice manager and focused on how to get the most out of international conferences and Bar Council business development missions, avenues for becoming more involved in work in the USA, Europe and the Middle East, funding streams, and what chambers needed to consider when “going global”. The event follows on from a seminar held in London at the end of 2010, and Criminal Practice workshops will be repeated in London in June/July.
