This will coincide with the Lord Mayor’s visit to Russia and it is hoped that he will be present at the event. Of particular interest to members of the criminal Bar should be sessions on regulatory developments (e.g. Bribery Act, antimoney laundering regulations, etc), where we should be able to feature the services that criminal barristers can offer to Russian clients. There will also be plenty of opportunities to network at the opening reception and during the seminar session breaks.

The programme is currently being discussed between the different participants, which include the British Embassy and the Law Society. The conference sessions are likely to be held on the premises of the Embassy and attract around 150 leading Russian practitioners and inhouse counsel.

The profession will be contacted directly with further information once the programme is finalised. Please monitor the international pages of the Bar Council website. You can also contact Rukaiya Bhegani (RBhegani@BarCouncil.org.uk) for further information.
