The Bar Council, with the support of Public Access Bar Association, held a networking reception for a delegation of 13 Tianjin-based lawyers who visited London for three weeks in January to undertake a bespoke business law course at BPP law school.
The reception was also an opportunity to welcome the Lord Chancellor’s Training Scheme Lawyers as they began their chambers placements, and to enable them to meet barristers in an informal setting. The reception, held on 26 January, had an excellent attendance and was enjoyed by all. The Bar Council has established a good working relationship with the Tianjin Lawyers Association through reciprocal visits over the last three years, and will continue to build professional networks between Tianjin lawyers by visiting the northeastern port city later this year. The opportunity to join the visit as a delegate will be advertised on the international pages of the Bar Council website and by direct communication to all chambers.
