Immigration – Appeals. The arrangements contained in R (on the application of Kumar) v Secretary of State for the Home Department (acknowledgement of service; Tribunal arrangements) ([2014] UKUT 00104 (IAC)) would not have effect in respect of any application for permission to bring judicial review proceedings which was filed with the tribunal after 1 January 2019. The Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) further gave guidance on the Secretary of State's intended move away from the traditional approach of filing full summary grounds of defence.
