European Union – Rules on competition. The Court of Justice of the European Union allowed the appeal by Laufen Austria SA (LA) against the judgment of the General Court of the European Union in Laufen Austria v Commission: T-411/10, by which that court had dismissed the action by LA for annulment of Commission Decision C(2010) 4185 final in which the European Commission had found that LA and other companies within its group had infringed EU competition rules as set out in art 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and art 53 of the Agreement on the European Economic Area in the bathroom fittings and fixtures market. The case was referred back to the General Court for it to give judgment on the claim made by LA for reduction of the fine imposed on it.
