Koninklijke Philips NV and another company v European Commission

European Union – Competition. The General Court of the European Union dismissed the action by Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV and its wholly owned subsidiary, Philips France SAS, against a decision of the European Commission relating to proceedings under art 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and art 53 of the European Economic Area Agreement in which the Commission had held that there had been an infringement of those provisions in the smart card chips sector.
