Land registration – Rectification of register. Where directors had not had any authority to execute a transfer of land on behalf of the claimant company, the transfer was not binding on the company and its registration had been a mistake, within the meaning of para 2(1)(a) of Sch 4 to Land Registration Act 2002. In that regard, the Chancery Division ruled that the register would be rectified as regards, both the land, and in respect of the unauthorised removal of a charge in favour of the claimant, concerning another plot of land.
