The Queen's Bench Division made a total award of damages in the sum of £7,928,140 to a claimant in circumstances where the defendant NHS Foundation Trust had admitted negligence in the way the claimant had been delivered during his birth, which had resulted in the claimant suffering intracranial haemorrhage and brain injury and the claimant developing severe spastic cerebral palsy and significant cognitive impairment.
