Annon v Nursing and Midwifery Council

Medical practitioner – Appeal against determination of disciplinary committee. It was unjustifiable for the Conduct and Competence Committee of the respondent Nursing and Midwifery Council to strike the appellant midwife off the register when she had been prevented from complying with the required conditions. Accordingly, the Administrative Court imposed a conditions of practice order requiring the appellant to complete a return to practice course within two years, as well as earlier conditions which remained appropriate.
