Conference Chairman Derek McDermott QC welcomed the opportunity for Circuits, specialist Bar associations, the employed Bar and the American Bar, to come together on this 30th year of the Annual Bar Conference. While it is a time of change, he said, the Bar always faced up to challenge and he was looking forward to seeing how we might learn from collective knowledge and experience coming together. He extended his thanks to all the speakers, especially the keynote speakers and the audience.
