AlphaBiolabs is once again supporting vulnerable families with its annual 12 Days of Christmas campaign.

The business – a leading provider of legal DNA, drug and alcohol testing services in the UK – is making donations across 12 days in December to 12 Trussell Trust food banks and charitable causes nationwide.

All food bank locations – which are also home to AlphaBiolabs walk-in testing centres – will each receive a £200 donation.

Members of the AlphaBiolabs team have also made an in-person donation of food items to Warrington Food Bank, the closest to its testing laboratories.

In addition, the company is donating £200 to Samaritans instead of sending Christmas cards, and all the AlphaBiolabs team will be supporting Cash For Kids Mission Christmas by donating gifts for disadvantaged children.

Rachel Davenport, Director at AlphaBiolabs, said: ‘Through our work providing DNA, drug and alcohol testing services to family law firms, local councils and social workers, we come into contact with people from all walks of life, many of them facing very difficult challenges.

‘Strained family relationships, money difficulties, drug and/or alcohol abuse, and child protection issues are sadly commonplace in some of the homes our sample collectors visit every day across the UK.

‘Each of the charities we support therefore shares our values by providing support to vulnerable children and families affected by a range of issues.

‘Through our various donations we hope to make a small but positive difference to some of the families and children who have struggled this year and help make the festive season just that little bit brighter.’
