Extradition – Grounds of appeal. The points the appellant raised came nowhere near demonstrating an arguable breach of art 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights or oppression, and the factors against extradition did not provide a sufficient counterbalance to the strong factors in favour of extradition so as to render extradition disproportionate under art 8. Accordingly, the Administrative Court refused the appellant leave to amend the grounds of appeal and adduce additional evidence, and dismissed his appeal against orders for his extradition to Bulgaria to serve a sentence of three years' imprisonment for theft of diesel.
