Employment – Unfair dismissal. The Employment Appeal Tribunal (the EAT), in dismissing the employee's appeal, held that the employment tribunal had not erred in deciding that there was no territorial reach in respect of claims under the Employment Rights Act 1996, the Equality Act 2010, and the Working Time Regulations 1998, SI 1998/1833, in respect of a mariner who had worked off shore Nigeria, had lived in Germany and had been employed by a Scottish company. However, the case was remitted to the tribunal for it to consider a claim for breach of contract.
