Personal Injury: Quantum Case. Road traffic accident. Orthopaedic injuries and psychiatric and psychological damage. PSLA of £3,500. Following the accident, the claimant suffered from moderate pain, stiffness, and discomfort in the neck, right shoulder and upper and lower back. The symptoms in the back resolved four weeks after the accident. The claimant also experienced psychological symptoms in the form of moderate fear of travel and moderate nightmares which lasted for four weeks and six weeks respectively. She took one week off work after the accident. She was still mildly restricted in her work activities at 3.5 months post-accident.
