Uwen v General Medical Council

Medical practitioner – Disciplinary proceedings. Based on the information which had been before the respondent General Medical Council's Interim Orders Tribunal, it was impossible to conclude that its decision, that an interim suspension order had been necessary for the protection of the public, had been wrong. Accordingly, the Administrative Court dismissed the appellant's appeal against that decision, imposed based on the allegation that she had practised without appropriate professional indemnity insurance cover.
