Toone and another v Robbins and another

Company – Director. The claimant liquidators' appeal succeeded in part against findings of the chief registrar in a case concerning payments made by directors of a company to themselves. The defendant directors' cross-appeal was dismissed. The Chancery Division held that, among other things, the mere fact that some lawful payment could have been made and that particular payment had been made did not mean that that particular payment had been lawful.
