Ticu v Tribunalul Bacau (Romania)

Extradition – Extradition order. The appellant's extradition to Romania to serve a sentence of seven years' imprisonment for tax evasion would be compatible with the rights under the European Convention on Human Rights. The Administrative Court dismissed his appeal against orders for his extradition for the further reasons that he had been deemed present at his trial, as he had been represented by a lawyer of his choice and the judge had been entirely correct to conclude that the appellant had been deliberately absent from the trial.
