Extradition – Sentence of imprisonment. If there was a causal connection between the deportation and extradition processes, it would be a matter for the Polish authorities to decide what reduction in the term the appellant had to serve to give him for his time on immigration detention awaiting deportation for the same offence. The Administrative Court, in dismissing the appellant's appeal against orders for his extradition to Poland to serve a sentence for fraudulently obtaining a loan, further held that it would not be disproportionate for the appellant to be returned to Poland notwithstanding the difficulties that that would cause for his family.
