Adoption – Welfare of infant. The Family Division held that it was appropriate to make an adoption order in respect of Z, a girl from Egypt who had been cared for by the applicant, T, following T's relationship with her Egyptian husband, who was the first respondent, had broken down. In the circumstances, it was not appropriate for Z to be returned to Egypt, either with or without T, and an adoption order would provide Z with a greater degree of security than a Child Arrangements Order.
