Personal Injury: Quantum Case. Orthopaedic injuries, psychiatric and psychological damage. PSLA of £3,500. The 72-year-old claimant suffered from a whiplash injury to his neck, right shoulder and upper back as a result of a road traffic accident. He suffered from travel anxiety and discomfort, and developed moderate sciatica to the right leg which took four weeks to resolve. Due to the injuries he was unable to do any lifting activities or any housework, and his sleep was affected. He was referred to a physiotherapist.
