SWS v Department for Work and Pensions

Privacy – Anonymity in court proceedings. The evidence provided by the applicant to suggest anonymity ought to apply to his application for a statement in open court was speculative, overstated and did not justify anonymity. Accordingly, the Queen's Bench Division did not continue the interim anonymity order or modify it so as to provide for indefinite anonymity, subject to a right to make third party applications.
