Land – Reverter. The claimants' claim that reverter had occurred following the sale of certain school land, with the result that a trust had been created, was dismissed. The Chancery Division held that, on the true construction of the School Sites Act 1841 and the Reverter of Sites Act 1987, the power of sale or exchange could have been lawfully exercised in the manner in which the defendant Oxfordshire County Council had sought to do.
