The defendants were all subject to freezing orders made by the court with regard to an alleged conspiracy to defraud the claimants, which were the government of Angola and the Banco Nacional de Angola. The second, sixth and seventh defendants challenged the orders against them. The Commercial Court, in dismissing their applications, held that the freezing injunctions and proprietary injunctions had been properly made, and would be allowed to continue to trial or further order.
