Re IH (Observance of Muslim Practice)

Mental health – Persons who lack capacity. The Court of Protection held that it was not in the best interests of IH, a 39-year-old male, with a profound learning disability and autism, who was born and raised in a Muslim family, to observe fasting during the month of Ramadan or to have trimmed his pubic and axillary hair, in accordance with Islamic ritual custom.
