Ramasamy v Solicitors Regulation Authority

Solicitor – Disciplinary proceedings. The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (the tribunal) had not erred in having found that the appellant had remunerated a struck off solicitor, allowed him to undertake litigation on behalf of her firm and had dishonestly prepared a bill for his attendance at a hearing. The Divisional Court further held that the tribunal had plainly been entitled to conclude that striking off had been the appropriate sanction.
