R (on the application of the Claimant) v Secretary of State for the Home Department

Immigration – Asylum seeker. The Administrative Court dismissed the claimant Albanian national's application for judicial review of the defendant Secretary of State's decisions, refusing his asylum claim, certifying it without a right of appeal and detaining him. The Secretary of State's conclusion that there had been no blood feud had plainly not been irrational and errors in detention reviews could not even arguably affect the decision.
