Immigration – Asylum. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division, allowed the appellant Pakistani national's appeal, supported by the Secretary of State, against the decision of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) (the UT). It held that the UT should, whether on having been informed that the Secretary of State had discharged the appellant's bail conditions or after hearing argument as to her entitlement to do so, have accepted that she had had the power to do what she had purported to do and there had been no question of her having acted ultra vires.
