Road traffic – Driving while unfit to drive through drink or drugs. Section 16 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 did not provide an exhaustive process for the proof of level of alcohol in breath; there were other routes. The Divisional Court held that the admissible evidence of one of the officers who had been at the scene and at the police station with the claimant as to what the machine had indicated had proved that the level of alcohol in breath had been in excess of the legal limit.
