The claimant Polish national's immigration detention had been unlawful after 14 July 2017, after his appeal against a deportation order could not be expedited and the defendant Secretary of State had had time to take stock of his particular circumstances, including his lack of accommodation or support outside detention, and consider how best to manage any release.
