Housing – Statutory powers. The Administrative Court dismissed the claimant's application for judicial review of the defendant local housing authority's decisions, refusing to secure further accommodation for his family under s 17 of the Children Act 1989. The authority had been entitled to consider that the claimant had had a sufficient opportunity to secure alternative accommodation, that there had been insufficient evidence to determine that the claimant had done all he could to find alternative accommodation and its proposal to accommodate only the children had been reasonable.
