Judicial review – Leave to apply for judicial review. The Administrative Court held that the claimant (C) would be granted an extension of time, but refused permission, for judicial review, in a case where C had made a number of complaints to the defendant Bar Standards Board which arose out of the alleged conduct of barristers who had acted against him in litigation. In the circumstances, the Professional Conduct Committee of the defendant had been entitled to conclude that there was insufficient evidence to uphold those complaints. The court considered whether to make a civil restraint order against C, but declined to do so.
