Proctor v Chief Constable of Cleveland Police

Police – Arrest. The officer who had arrested the appellant had had reasonable grounds for suspecting him of having committed an offence under the Fraud Act 2006 s 2 and the recorder had correctly directed himself in law in so concluding. Accordingly, the Court of Appeal, Civil Division, dismissed the appellant's appeal against the recorder's decision, dismissing his claim for damages for false arrest.
