The Chancery Division granted the claimant collecting society's application for injunctions against the defendant traders who had been playing music in public without the relevant licence. Although, the infringements on which the claim had been brought had all been paid for, the defendants were continuing to infringe without a licence, and it was right and appropriate to grant an injunction.
