Ministry of Justice and another v Merry

Pension – Pension scheme. Remuneration which the respondent had received for working over weekends by arrangement with his employer for a period of many years, in addition to what he had been paid in respect of his employment during the normal working week, qualified as 'pensionable earnings' for the purposes of the relevant provisions of the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme and the Civil Service Compensation Scheme.
