Pension – Pension scheme. Remuneration which the respondent had received for working over weekends by arrangement with his employer for a period of many years, in addition to what he had been paid in respect of his employment during the normal working week, qualified as 'pensionable earnings' for the purposes of the relevant provisions of the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme and the Civil Service Compensation Scheme. Accordingly, the Court of Appeal, Civil Division, dismissed the appellant Ministry of Justice and Cabinet Office's appeal.
