Personal Injury: Quantum Case. Road traffic accident. Orthopaedic injuries. Neck and shoulder pain and stiffness which developed a week after accident. PSLA of £2,600. The claimant's injuries were described as severe but by the time of examination (two months post-accident), were mild and occasional with a prognosis of four months. He was restricted in domestic tasks for about two months and personal care was difficult. Sleep was affected for two months. The claimant's GP advised painkillers and anti-inflammatories. He was unable to swim, which he had enjoyed before the accident.
