European Union – Employment. The Court of Justice of the European Union held that art 49 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and art 4(1) and the first sub-paragraph of art 13(1) of the Directive did not preclude legislation of a member state which stipulated that the activities of a dental technologist had to be pursued in collaboration with a dental practitioner, and therefore applied to clinical dental technologists who had obtained their professional qualifications in another member state and who wished to pursue their profession in the first member state.
