Bankruptcy – Sequestration – Reappointment of former trustee in sequestration. Sheriff Court : Granting an application by a former trustee in sequestration who sought reappointment after he and the debtor had been discharged, following receipt of payments in respect of the debtor's claim for refund of payment protection insurance ('PPI') premiums he had made to a bank, the court concluded that there was sufficient information to show that even after payment of the trustee's costs for ingathering and distributing the PPI payment there would be a four figure sum left for distribution to creditors; the dividend to each creditor might be modest but in the whole circumstances of the case the likely benefit to the creditors pointed in favour of the court granting the application.
