Contempt of court – Civil Contempt. With one exception, the appellant's actions, which the respondent local authority complained of as contempt, had amounted to clear breaches of a reporting restrictions order and an order under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division, in dismissing the appellant's appeal, further held that a total sentence of eight months' imprisonment had been justified and there were no grounds upon which it could properly be interfered with.
