Lovett (a protected party by his Deputy Lovett) v Health and Care Professions Council

Medical practitioner – Disciplinary proceedings. The Health and Care Professions Council's Conduct and Competence Committee panel had reached carefully considered decisions about proceeding with the hearings and had fully explained why it had been entitled to reject the appellant consultant clinical psychologist's evidence as untruthful, for reasons which would not have been weakened had his evidence continued its full course. Accordingly, the Administrative Court dismissed the appellant's appeal against the findings of misconduct, that his fitness to practise was impaired and that the appropriate sanction was that he should be struck off.
