Legal aid – Criminal cases. The Queen's Bench Division dismissed the Lord Chancellor's appeal against a cost judge's determination in favour of the respondent's inclusion of 4,325 pages of prosecution papers as part of their graduated fees in circumstances. Despite the papers not being served strictly according to established protocols, the evidence had been central to the prosecution case and fell within the definition of pages of prosecution evidence set out in the Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) Regulations 2013, SI 2013/435.
