Criminal law – Road traffic offences – Dangerous driving. Sheriff Appeal Court: Refusing an appeal by an appellant who was convicted after trial of dangerous driving, following a head on collision on the A1, the court held that in the specific circumstances of the appellant's driving the sheriff had not erred in convicting her of dangerous driving instead of careless driving, and it rejected her contention that the actual character of the road, together with the volume and speed of the traffic on it at the locus were neutral considerations when assessing the quality of her driving.
